Township Manager

In January of 2023, the Board of Trustees voted to create the position of Township Manager.  The intent of this position is to provide consistency to the Township as the Board of Trustee members leave or new members are elected.  This position will bridge the gap between boards, while the new board learns the inner workings of Township government, the history behind previous board decisions, etc.

Mike Jester was appointed as the Township Manager in February of 2023.  He was previously the Director of Public Safety for the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety and retired after 29 years of service to that organization.  He is a resident of Leoni Township and has a vested interest in the Township’s success.
